The Article
In the article Is AI a Wedge Between Designers and Creativity? Frank J. Martinez writes what the relationship between designers and AI could be like. Martinez worries that AI could be the new thing that hurts designers and in reality, hurts a designer's ability to be creative. Ai is indeed a tool, even for designers it can be utilized for their own gain. However, Martinez believes it will only turn into a crutch, in the end not helping a designer's growth.
Design Concept
For this design I tried to highlight the battle between AI and humans fighting for the butterfly. This is representing the way humans have the ability to create through art and now AI has been created to make art as well. AI could enhance a designer's abilities, but it could also harm them too. Will AI help speed up the creative process by solving problems or will it dampen a designer's creative experimentation to solve problems.
It is the possibility of AI taking away jobs and opportunities from designers that has everyone questioning if AI will be helpful or harmful.
The article could be sold in stores with foil wrapping to enhance the desirable effect of the magazine.
